RingConn Will Migrate from Google Fit to Health Connect

RingConn Will Migrate from Google Fit to Health Connect
Due to Google’s announcement that it will discontinue the Google Fit Developer API service, RingConn will officially cease synchronizing your health data with Google Fit as of October 1, 2025, 23:00 (UTC+0).
We recommend that all users synchronize and migrate their data to the modern platform officially endorsed by Google, Health Connect by Android. This migration is designed to provide you with a more secure, private, and centralized health data management experience.

I. Why Migrate to Health Connect?
  • Enhanced security and privacy: Health Connect encrypts and stores your health data locally on the device rather than in the cloud, significantly bolstering privacy protection.
  • Centralized management: Manage all health app data read/write permissions in a unified interface, providing clear oversight.
  • Modern ecosystem: As the officially recommended future health data hub by Android, it offers better compatibility and supports over 50 data types.

VI. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Why does RingConn no longer support new users syncing data with Google Fit?

This is due to Google's official announcement that it will soon discontinue its Google Fit developer API service. In accordance with Google's official recommendation, we are currently migrating data synchronization to its next-generation platform, Health Connect, to ensure we can continue to provide you with a safe and reliable service.

2. What will happen to my previous Google Fit data after the migration?

For users who have enabled data synchronization with Google Fit, we will continue to maintain data synchronization until October 1, 2025, 23:00 (UTC+0). If you choose to disable synchronization before this date, we will no longer support re-establishing data synchronization with Google Fit. RingConn data that has been synchronized to Google Fit will remain in your Google Fit account and will not be affected. If you need to manage this historical data, please do so directly through the Google Fit app or service.

3. What should I do if I see “Health Connect does not currently support this device” when attempting to authorize?

This message usually appears when your device environment does not fully meet Health Connect requirements. Please check the following items in order:
  • Android system version: Your phone must be running Android 9 or higher. Please check via “Settings” > “About phone” > “Android version”.
  • Health Connect app:
If you are using Android 13 or earlier, you must manually download and install Health Connect from the Google Play Store.
Please ensure that the Health Connect app has been successfully installed and updated to the latest version (check for updates in the Google Play Store).
  • RingConn app: Please ensure that you are using the latest version of RingConn. Please check for updates via the app store (e.g., Google Play).
  • Restart: After completing the above checks and updates, restart your phone and try authorizing RingConn again.
  • Still unable to resolve the issue after retrying? Please contact the RingConn customer service team [cs@ringconn.com].

4. Why can't I sync “HRV” data to Health Connect?

There is currently an algorithm compatibility issue, so we do not support syncing your HRV data at this time. We will resolve this issue as soon as possible, so please stay tuned.

5. Can I authorize only some of the data in Health Connect?

On the Health Connect permissions page, you will see a detailed list of the data types requested by RingConn. You can manually select each specific data type you are willing to share based on your privacy preferences. RingConn will only sync the data you have explicitly authorized.

6. Need help?
